  1. My empathy is with you because I suffered from Lyme Disease as well. I was diagnosed in Croatia 1.5 years ago (where we live part of the year). Thank God it was not in Canada where home is much of the yearnearly everyone must travel to the US to see a Lyme literate doctor. Every single doctor I saw here shrugged it off, even an Infectious Diseases specialist. They even saw pictures I took of the bullseye as well as copies of positive test results! Thank goodness treatment started immediately in Croatia but the journey of extreme pain (was diagnosed with herniated discs and fibromyalgia ten years ago as well so I cannot work, am in my 40s, travel is nearly impossible but I choose toand really pay for itbecause my health is much, much better in Croatia) and fatigue was/is a long one. Now when unusual symptoms occur I automatically wonder if there is a correlation. It”s a brutal and debilitating disease and for people to brush it of or give no credence to it is very tough. There are also those who believe it”s completely made up, a “celebrity disease. Such a shame. It is crucial for people to take it seriously. I have such compassion for families who must deal with this because it is, as you understand, destructive. Those who do not live with it have no idea how horrible it can be. Thank you for sharing your story.

  2. I dm so sorry! I, too, have Lyme and starting to have histamine reactions to temperature, specifically cold temps. We def. need more research, more doctors who understand, better treatments, and care. Sending hugs and love. Xoxo

  3. So sad – 22 is too young! I have Lyme and mast cell activation too and I know what it is to have to have benadryl with me at all times in case of reaction. Mast cell activation is only starting to be studied. If anything, everyone, please advocate for more research attention to mast cell activation when you talk about Lyme disease!!

  4. My daughter is 21 and was born with it but still has yet to be “diagnosed” by a physician and no real treatment as of yet. I can’t imagine what you are going through. Praying for comfort for you and your family

  5. Oh precious dear ones! How my heart aches immeasurably for all of your tremendous suffering. My daughter is 17 has been battling this her whole life as is the rest of our family. My mother heart is holding your own and cradling your precious girl as we lift you all up as one with all of the strength and mercy we continue to intercede for on behalf of each and every one. I too am so grateful that your beautiful girl is no longer in earthly pain and I know that there is just absolutely nothing that can ever put words or do justice to all that you are personally going through. My prayers are with you night and day. I cannot express all that I long to do to provide comfort and healing and an end to such horrible wrongs that should never EVER be! I know Alex was born for such a time as this …just as we all are…and I refuse to believe that all that you and she and your family have been through is in vain. In my heart I truly believe that each one of us who passes through this piece of eternity into the next is somehow being given the grace and the power and the mercy to stand on behalf of all those here to help turn the tide in ways that none of us here can even begin to imagine yet. Your precious Alex Will Live on forever in my heart and the heart of my daughter. May LOVE be with you and go before you to give you all that only you and Alex and the Love that created her truly knows that you need. Our hearts, our tears, and our prayers are with you!

  6. From one mother to another I can’t imagine the emptiness that has to be consuming you. Many of us have kids we worry daily due to this horrible disease. Your daughter is beautiful and she will remain beautiful and now pain free. God earned an angel and we are having to say see you later since one day we will all see each other again. My heart goes out to you as a mother who has a sick son who is 20. No parent should go through this. May God carry you when you feel overwhelmed. Just know for us we all dream of that day we no longer suffer. Your beautiful baby is finally in peace God bless you and your entire family and friends πŸ’šπŸ’šπŸ’š As soon as I’m done with the cdc rally I will be starting the β€œ Fallen Lyme Angel Warrior” map. I will make sure you receive a copy. I feel it’s the least we can do is have this amazing site that was created and have a map of those we never want to forget. πŸ™πŸ»βœοΈπŸ™πŸ»

  9. God bless you on your journey to heaven where you will live pain free. What a horrible disease and suffering that nobody can really understand. We are all lifting you up in prayer and remembrance, even as a stranger you touched hearts and you were a lyme warrior so we shared many of the same moments I’m sure.
