ribbons

Whatislyme.com would like to recognize people in the Lyme community that have done something to try to help the Lyme community. There are several “unsung heroes” in our community and we would  like to just offer them a little recognition and make sure that their achievements and efforts don’t go  unnoticed.

Today we want to thank Alison for all the hard work she is doing to help children!

Nominated by Holly Reading.

Alison runs a group called, “Lymie Mom Unite.” This group endlessly helps moms, dads, family members of little children who are infected, to find answers, get support and not feel so all alone in this battle.

It is hard enough for adults to find answers and to do research, but when a child is involved it is even harder. This group really helps a lot of parents and children. Taking on this task, is a big challenge and yet, Alison, even though sick herself has done that. So thank you Alison! Many people appreciate it!

Holly writes about Alison: “Alison Perch is always posting on FB and trying to warn parents of the dangers of Lyme. She was on the local new station to raise awareness. She has gone through so much with this disease (more than I even know) but she never quits!! Whenever she is raising awareness she tries to tell people the signs and prevention. You never once hear her cry about her problems with it. She is out to save others, and not make people feel sorry for her. If she isn’t an activist for Lyme, I don’t know who is.”
