Amanda Reese

was committed to serving others during her young life. A graduate of Illinois State University and former YMCA camp counselor, she also served as a volunteer with AmeriCorps. Amanda led a team providing assistance to FEMA in Mississippi following Hurricane Katrina. She also volunteered for the Nature Conservancy’s effort to preserve the Florida Everglades.

Reese died November 20, 2005 from an enlarged heart stemming from complications of Lyme disease.
