Dawn Carlson RIP

Dawn Carlson

We were notified by one of Dawn’s good friends, “Dawn Carlson, of Minnesota, is one more lost due to Lyme disease. Dawn was born April 8, 1970, the daughter of Duane and Darlene Carlson and grew up in Lancaster Minnesota. Dawn graduated from Northland Community College then went on to attend the State Cloud University, she played on the women’s golf team for both colleges.

Dawn moved home to Lancaster in 2006 after resigning her job because of health problems. Dawn discovered the many health problems she had was from tick borne infections/lyme disease from a deer tick bite. She dedicated the rest of her shortened life to advocating for Lyme disease awareness.

Dawn’s good friend, Angela Castle says even in her passing, Dawn is still helping others as her sister has donated to their Lyme support group,  to help them train doctors to be Lyme literate.

  1. To Dawn family

My heartfelt sympathies to each of you on your deep loss of your daughter slash sister, excetera

She is now healthy and Heaven in this Lord longer suffering pain. Rip Dawn

  2. I am sorry to hear about all the challenges Dawn faced, including the people who refused to believe her or her extensive medical team. I am also disabled from Lyme and several serious associated co-infections. People can be cruel to the sickest of Lyme Warriors. I am glad she is at peace now, with no more excruciating pain and other disabling results of these massive infections that can destroy the affected persons body, and even be the cause of early death. If she’s able, maybe she can continue her work in changing the hardened hearts and deaf ears that torture the millions of us who have been fighting these devastating tick-borne illnesses with no relief in sight. Dawn was a true Lyme Warrior, and those who knew her have every right to be proud for all the work she has done.

  3. This has to stop !!!! Sincere heart felt sadness too read about another Lyme warrior pass. She is a true angle and will be remembered by many. RIP DAWN. YOU WILL NOT BE FORGOTTEN !!!! Condolescences to her family, friends, and all that knew her.
