Diet and Lyme Disease
Many people are becoming more aware of the role in diet in reducing inflammation and helping to heal. Through diet you can boost your immune system, reduce inflammation, and control your bodies PH/acidity.
As with all treatment it will be up to the individual to try different diets to see which one will work for them. An allergist can help with this, especially if you are dealing with Histamine Intolerance or Mast Cell Activation.
Many Lyme patients and people with other Chronic illnesses are saying that they experience improvement in symptoms by cutting out gluten and sugar. Some cut out all grains and dairy too. You will have to experiment and work with your medical practitioner to see what works for you.
