Jenny Rush from “Lyme Thriving”

Introducing Jenny:

I would like to introduce everyone to, Jenny Rush and her blog called Lyme Thriving.  Jenny describes her blog as, ” a place where there is an opportunity to find peace and self-empowerment in the face of chronic illness.” And it’s very true.

Jenny does whatever she can do to help empower the Lyme community. She offers her time for free, giving teleconferences every other Monday, speaking of the “spiritual side of Lyme.” Either Jenny gives a presentation on subjects such as controlling anxiety, or being a family member of someone who is chronically ill, or she may have guest speakers such as Dr Gruber, a naturopath speaking about why “diet” is so important with Lyme. Each week is different. The calls are always free. At the end of each presentation there is a question and answer session, and when that’s done the conversation continues over on Lyme Thriving’s Facebook Page.

You can find Lyme patients discussing treatments or symptoms anywhere on a daily basis. Everyday on Facebook or in Lyme forums you can find people talking about what their drs are prescribing. But you rarely find anyone discussing what you can do to help yourself.  How you can try to change from within.

  1. Jenny thank you so much for your incredible work, to reach inside patients for their peace. You have such a gentle and strong vibe to your work. Love and light.

  2. Jenny, another one of us “old timer” lymies. Always searching for a better way for us to live. Constantly seeking peace and tranquility for us all.

  3. Thank you for your commitment to the Lyme community. Thank you for giving me memories of home in Litchfield, Connecticut when I am 800 miles away. Thank you for always including me in the calls and retreats and for all of the beautiful photos you take.

  4. Jenny has one of the most beautiful spirits and souls. Always there with encouraging words… The calm in a storm. I’ve never had the chance to meet her, but I always look forward to her posts and pictures.

  5. I will never forget the first time I listened to one of Jenny’s calls. I had tears in my eyes because I knew I had found that piece of healing that I was missing. I then had the honor of attending the retreat in Maine and was so inspired by Jenny, Jenna and Fran. It was a priveledge to hear their loving accepting words. As I go through the difficult physical healing process I am so grateful to have a peaceful place to go inspired by Jenny!

  6. Jenny, Jenny, Jenny. One of the most influential people in my life. It started with a life changing call almost 2 years ago, and the rest is..well not history, but brilliant. Never forceful or coercive, she has gently helped me to look inward in a way that no one has. To be open to life’s every day experiences, as they ebb and flow, without defining myself by them. And introduced me to so many facets of healing, ones that I was once concretely closed off to. And most importantly, that I am whole and complete, just as I am, sick or not, on the couch or hiking a mountain. Thank you so much, Jenny, for sharing all of your befores, durings, and afters!! oxox

  7. I am so touched by your kind comments. Thank you. And I look forward to continuing to learn and grow with everyone in the community. <3 xoxo

  8. Jenny was a huge influence on my journey. I was intellectualizing so much of my healing process. It was on one of her first Lyme Thriving calls that I had a major shift and began to include the emotional/spiritual healing part of the process.

  9. Jenny…thank you for empowering me, and so many others at the retreat in Biddeford Maine. The entire weekend was a gift, that you let unfold, with no agenda, and so much space for us to be.
I cannot wait to attend another retreat, and heal more, just by the acceptance of where I am.
    Your light inspires me.

  10. I would like to thank you and know that I have been blessed by your radio show.. I am making Glutathione now because of iit.Thank you for all that you do.. You are an angel amongst us..

  11. I just want to take a moment to say thank you for all you do in the lyme community. You are one of the names that I remember when I first figured out I had Lyme disease. Thank you for the education on helping me get better. GOD BLESS you
