Lyme Disease Legislation Updates

lyme legislation

Lyme disease has become a very controversial infection to have. It is also very hard for doctors to treat properly because of insurance companies reporting long term treatment of Lyme disease,  to the medical boards which then conduct investigations on these doctors, (due to the CDC and IDSA Lyme treatment guidelines suggesting that Lyme disease is easy to diagnose and to treat). Several states are trying to pass laws to protects doctors who treat Lyme long term. Some states are also passing legislation to warn the patient that Lyme testing is inaccurate and testing negative for Lyme disease does not mean you don’t have Lyme.
