In honor of Lyme and Tick borne disease awareness month, we would like to designate May 31 as a day of prayer for all those who are coping with this devastating illness. Please get the word out to your family and friends that we welcome their prayers on this day, and for those who have wanted to do something, prayer is a great start.

So no matter where you are on May 31, please stop for a moment and say a prayer for healing for those afflicted with tick borne diseases.

  1. Dear Heavenly Father, We all come before you on this day lifting each person that is affected by Chronic Lyme Disease and co-infections. You know the pain and daily struggles we go through. We ask for Your daily grace, mercy, love, strength, and most of all Your healing. Please grant our caretakers and family members extra strength and patience. These days are hard on everyone. We love You and thank You for who You are and what You’ve done for us. In Jesus name, Amen

  2. God grant me the serenity
    to accept the things I cannot change
    courage to change the things I can
    and the wisdom to know the difference
    living one day at a time
    living one moment at a time
    and accepting hardship as the pathway to peace.
    Amen

  3. I pray every day is a tiny bit better than the last, and that moment by moment and day by day some how and some way we all will be well again.

  4. Dear Lord, I pray for all the people who have Lyme disease and their families. I pray for healing and wellness as well as access to treatments. I also pray for the scientists & doctors to find not only a cure, but reliable blood tests & education for detection. I pray for changes in legislation & insurance policies & treatment guidelines so that everyone is able to get the treatment they need, even if they cannot afford it. I pray for understanding & affirmation. I pray for all who are suffering for the pain & sickness to be healed, I pray for those who are well now, to stay well & I pray for those who feel they have no hope left. Amen.

  5. Today is a day of prayer for people with the devastating illness Lyme disease. Please pray for us today, and for our family and friends who get overwhelmed with it as well. This for all people with illness or anyone! “He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, as you help us by your prayers. 2 Cor 1:10-11 Lord, we cannot control the storms in our life, but we can control where we look in the storm. We choose to see you in the middle of heartbreaks and health crisis. When we are tossed about by the trials and temptations fo life, remind us not to be overwhelmed by fear and doubt, but to look for your calming presence. Amen

  6. Heavenly Father, I pray today for all those who are suffering from Lyme Disease and other related conditions, facing a life of difficulty, pain, physical symptoms, and so many other problems. My heart breaks for them, Lord, and I ask you to intervene in this situation and help us with the many needs it presents. I pray for the organizations that stand in the way of proper treatment and healing – that you would open their eyes to see the truth, and to change the guidelines for treatment. I pray for the llmds who treat patients with compassion and caring, dedicating themselves to serving those who need them so badly. I ask you to bless them today, to protect them and their practices, to guide them as they work in a field that needs so much more. Help them know today how much they are loved and appreciated. I ask you to guide those will illness to the right doctor, the right treatment, and the right path for them, which leads to healing and health. I ask for you to provide the finances for those who desperately need assistance. I ask for you to provide friends who understand and support without criticizing and judging, and help without expecting anything in return. I ask for you to comfort and bless the dear ones who need to have their spirits lifted up – those whose names you know, those whom you love. Bless and strengthen them for the journey, and give them hope each day. Also bless their friends and family members who serve and help them along the way. Raise up voices who will speak out and raise awareness of Lyme Disease in public places, increasing the numbers of those who understand and will do something. I come on behalf of my daughter, and so many many friends that are suffering, and ask you to bring relief, love, strength, peace, and even joy, on this day, and every day to come. With gratitude and thankfulness for Your love to us, Amen.

  7. Dear Lord Jesus, thank you for your promise of eternal life with you in heaven. No more pain, nor sorrows, nor tears, nor disease. An eternal life of heavenly bliss. We need you Lord during these troubled and sickly times during our life on earth. I lift up each person with Lyme disease into your loving and comforting arms and I pray for healing. Healing of our minds, bodies and hearts. You are our comfort, our peace, our counselor, our defender and our healer. We need a miracle Lord in the Lyme Community. Break down the walls that keep us suffering with illness. Give us patience, strength and endurance to calmly wait for that day. Help us to make the best of each day as we wait for your great healing. Thank you that there are doctors trying to help us. I pray for wisdom for these doctors that treat us. Give them new eyes, new research, new medication, whatever it takes Lord.
    In the name of our ever loving Jesus, Amen.

  8. Dear Heavenly Father,
    I pray that you will lift up all of Your children with Lyme Disease in Your Healing Hands. Please help us through these difficult trials and never leave our sides. Please give our doctors and medical professionals the knowledge they need to help treat our symptoms. Also work with the governmental agencies that are limiting treatment and ignoring those of us who need more medical care than 2-4 weeks. Please bless us with comfort and peace and the knowledge that one day You will heal Your children whether here on earth or when You lead us home. Regardless of how we feel, help us to smile with each day You give us to fight and be survivors. In Your Precious Holy Name, Amen.

  9. Prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi

    Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
    Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
    where there is injury,pardon;
    where there is doubt, faith;
    where there is despair, hope;
    where there is darkness, light;
    and where there is sadness, joy.

    O Divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek
    to be consoled as to console;
    to be understood as to understand;
    to be loved as to love.
    For it is in giving that we receive;
    it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
    and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen

  10. “I said a Prayer for you today
    and know God must have heard.
    I felt the answer in my heart
    although He spoke no word.
    I didn’t ask for wealth or fame.
    I knew you wouldn’t mind.
    I asked Him to send treasures
    of a far more lasting kind.
    I asked that He’d be near you
    at the start of each new day,
    to grant you health and blessings
    and friends to share the way.
    I asked for happiness for you
    in all things great and small.
    But it was for His loving care
    I prayed the most of all.”
