The House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed the Cures Act 392-26

The House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed the
Cures Act 392-26.

December 2016
The President signed it into law on December 13th.

Iowa Activist, Betty Gordon shares words from Senator Chuck Grassley,

“You also mentioned your support for provisions that address Lyme Disease.

There is a provision in this bill that would help to accelerate improved methods for prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of tick-borne diseases, including Lyme disease.

It would establish a working group to prepare a report summarizing federal research efforts related to Lyme disease and other tick-borne diseases.

The working group terminates 6 years after the date of enactment of the bill.
bettyg note: in everything i’ve read, i’ve NOT read this about terminating 6 yrs. after bill is enacted!!

The Senate vote on December 7th clears the measure for the President’s consideration. Earlier, the House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed the Cures Act 392-26.
The President signed it into law on December 13th.

Again, thanks for contacting me. I am glad to have your input and encourage you to keep in touch.”

Sincerely,
Chuck Grassley
