Tickborne Relapsing Fever
Relapsing fever is an infection caused by the bites of lice or soft-bodied ticks. Tick-borne relapsing fever is found primarily in Africa, Spain, Saudi Arabia, Asia, and certain areas in the Western U.S. and Canada. Most people who are infected get sick around within a couple weeks of the bite.
Symptoms may include a sudden fever, chills, headaches, and muscle or joint aches, and nausea; a rash may also occur. These symptoms continue for 2-9 days, then disappear. This cycle may continue for several weeks if the person is not treated. .
Relapsing Fever is easily treated with 1-2 weeks of antibiotics. Most people improve within 24 hours of starting antibiotics. Tetracycline-class antibiotics are most effective. [Source: Wiki]

Yup. No rash here, either. Or somehow I missed it. Maybe it was on my “behind”?? Anyway, I’ve heard from several others who didn’t have a rash, either. This is one miserable and misunderstood chronic disease. Personally I’ve only heard of one person who believes they were “cured”. Everyone else has continued medical issues.
Tick borne illnesses such as Rocky Mountain spotted fever, Lyme disease, STARI, Ehrlichiosis and Tularemia display distinct rashes.
There is NOT always a distinct rash. The medical community has led us to believe that but it isn’t true.
I have to agree with you JRice.
I was diagnosed in 2010 with Lyme disease – Clinical diagnosis and confirmation by Western Blot Test. I never experienced a typical bull’s eye rash with any of my 3 bites.
I NEVER did!
