Vincent Sota
47 years old, was a Fire Rescue Engineer and an Emergency Medical Technician. After seeing more than fifteen physicians, Vincent was finally properly diagnosed with Lyme disease, but by that time, he was completely debilitated. Bedridden and unable to speak, his wife of eleven years, Mary, faithfully stayed by his side, maintaining hope until the end.
Sota died July 4, 2002, after a long battle with ALS secondary to Lyme disease.
