January 31, 1958 ~ November 19, 2016 (age 58)

GIRARD – Marianne Snyder, 58, passed away peacefully, Saturday morning, Nov. 19, 2016, at her home, following a courageous battle with ALS and Lyme disease.

Marianne was born Jan. 31, 1958, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late George and Anna Hillman Schuster, and was a lifelong area resident.

She was a 1976 graduate of Girard High School and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Youngstown State University.

Marianne worked for 10 years as a case manager at Fairhaven Workshop with the Trumbull County Board of Developmental Disabilities.

She greatly enjoyed cross-stitching, arts and crafts, cooking, baking, playing Yahtzee, and listening, singing and dancing to her son’s band music. Most importantly, Marianne will always be remembered as devoting her adult life to raising and caring for her family and truly enjoyed the time she spent with them.

Marianne leaves a daughter, Amy (Bryan) Clare of Painesville; a son, Kyle (Jade) Pascarella of Girard; five grandchildren, Ashley, Adam, Brandon, Topher, and Quinley; and a sister, Lorrie Schuster of Girard.

Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, Nov. 21, at Kinnick Funeral Home 222 S. State St., Girard.

Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 22, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Belmont Park Cemetery.

Marianne’s family suggests anyone wishing to make a memorial contribution do so by donating to the ALS Association of Northern Ohio, 6155 Rockside Rd. No. 403 Independence, OH 44131.

  1. Amy I am so very sorry. I just happened across a post somewhere online and recognized your mom’s name. I’m heartbroken for you guys. I had such fantastic conversations with you and your dear Mom. Not just about our Lyme and treatments but about life and funny stuff too. She had a major impact on a lot of people with her beautiful soul. She was a good egg, as they say. (You are too!) I just lost my momma in March. It’s been rough, especially on Dad. Please know that you and your mom are very special people who have made positive differences in many lives. I love you guys. Sending many hugs and prayers. xoxo

  2. Oh I am so sorry to read this Aimee that your Mother died. Not being on Facebook anymore I have lost touch with many of you. She was such a kind loving woman and I will,cherish the times we spent talking to,each other and her support she gave me. God bless all of you
